Unity to Serve Receives Pleasant Hill Community Foundation Grant
Unity to Serve International (USI) is proud to announce that we have received a grant from the Pleasant Hill Community Foundation to support our “Thriving Afghan American Families” initiative. This support will help USI provide culturally responsive workshops and family-focused activities designed to strengthen parenting skills, child development, family communication, and successful integration into the Pleasant Hill community.
Through this project, USI will serve Afghan immigrant families by providing practical information about U.S. cultural norms, parenting and child development, community resources, and social connections. The program will also create a welcoming, family-friendly environment where children can participate in creative activities while their parents engage in learning and discussion.
We sincerely thank the Pleasant Hill Community Foundation for its trust and support of USI’s mission. This investment will help us create meaningful opportunities for Afghan families, strengthen connections within the community, and support stronger futures for parents and children.
