Position Summary:
Unity to Serve International seeks a dynamic and organized Training / Outreach Coordinator to support the Programs Department by planning, coordinating, and delivering educational workshops, training sessions, and community outreach events. This full-time position is key to expanding awareness of our services and ensuring community members have access to essential resources. Reporting to the Program Officer, the Training / Outreach Coordinator will collaborate closely with community partners, staff, and participants to maximize program impact.
Essential Job Functions:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate training workshops and community outreach events on topics such as education, legal rights, job readiness, health, and public benefits.
- Develop and prepare training materials, presentations, and handouts tailored to diverse audiences.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate workshops and training sessions ensuring culturally and linguistically appropriate delivery.
- Engage with community partners, service providers, and government agencies to promote events and build collaborative relationships.
- Track attendance, collect participant feedback, and maintain accurate records for program reporting and evaluation.
- Assist in outreach efforts to underserved populations through direct communication, marketing materials, and community engagement activities.
- Support the Programs Department with other program delivery and coordination tasks as needed.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous program improvement.
- Respond to inquiries from community members and assist in connecting them with appropriate services.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Officer or Executive Director.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Public Administration, Communications, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in training coordination, community outreach, or related roles.
- Experience working with immigrant, refugee, or underserved communities highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage diverse populations with cultural sensitivity and awareness.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with virtual training platforms a plus.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred (especially Dari, Pashto, Spanish, Arabic, or Farsi).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred; occasional local travel required.
Compensation:
$45,000 – $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Unity to Serve International – Based in California. Primarily in-person with occasional flexibility depending on program needs.
