Enrollment Coordinator
With over a decade of experience leading nonprofit initiatives and community programs, Mariam brings heart and strategy to every mission. Formerly a director with WISE Organization in Afghanistan, she now supports international outreach and enrollment at Unity to Serve. Mariam holds a degree in Political Science and is passionate about empowering marginalized voices. Originally from Afghanistan, she is known for her warmth, leadership, and commitment to service across cultures.
Homa Alizadeh
Program Officer
Homa is a Program Officer at Unity to Serve, where she is dedicated to advancing community development and advocating for women’s rights. With a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Herat University, Homa brings a wealth of experience in media, having worked as a reporter and producer for prominent radio stations like SAHAR and SADAHI JAWANAN. She also has a strong background in project management and information technology. Originally from Afghanistan and now based in California, Homa is passionate about empowering underserved communities and driving meaningful change. Fluent in English, Dari, and Pashto, she is committed to making a positive impact both in Afghanistan and beyond.
Sultan Ahmad
Policy Advisor
Sultan Ahmad Aria is a Ph.D. researcher in Politics at Manchester Metropolitan University, UK, focusing on democratisation and political parties in Afghanistan. He has over eight years of experience with national and international NGOs in project management, policy advocacy, and development. Aria also lectured in Political Science for six years at Afghan universities and is a published author and media commentator. He is a member of the UK Young Academy and the UK Political Studies Association, holding degrees from the University of Mysore and Herat University.
